New site:

Happy Friday everyone!  With the weekend coming, there’s one major (and exciting) change: a new website!  Please make the switchover to the new site: www.beeswaxteam.com  From here on out, we’ll be using this site completely and not adding content to the old one (etsyencaustics.wordpress.com).

Forum thread

A good forum thread has been going on for the last few days with our comments, ideas and general ramblings.  If you haven’t seen it yet or aren’t sure how to access it, go here: http://www.etsy.com/forums_main.php   and search for beeswaxteam (our team tag)

Speaking of which, if you haven’t started tagging your items with “beeswaxteam” be sure to do so.  As people begin hearing about our team, they’ll begin searching for our tag to see fantastic encaustic art!

 

Blog update

After a few days of trial and error, we are currently in the process of buying the domain name: beeswaxteam.com.  Our blog will be transferred over to that domain name very soon.  This will enable all of us to have access, and for a more flexible and cohesive website that a blog doesn’t enable us to do.  More details to come…thanks for everyone’s patience!

SEPTEMBER THEME: BEES!

Our monthly theme challenge is up and running.  (Thanks Beth for heading this up!)  Each  month we will have a different theme – posted at the beginning of the month – to see what everyone can come up with.  Perhaps in the near future, we will be doing some marketing and promotion with everyone’s themed pieces.  But for now, you can run with this month’s theme: BEES and send any of you work to be downloaded to me at writeshans [!at] gmail.com.  We’ll be excited to see what everyone dreams up this month!

FORUMS!  We have now begun our forum discussions.  You can find our threads under the Community section on Etsy.  Then click on Forum and do a search for our tag (beeswaxteam).  And voila!  Instant opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback.  :)

 

BLOG ACCESS:  Things on the blog are changing and we are hoping to hand out access to this blog by the end of the week.  Currently, we are working to move the blog to a different server and do all the techie stuff to make it accessible to everyone.  But in the very near future each BEE member will be able to upload, post and add anything to this blog.  In this way, we hope to create a rapidly growing and really interesting blog!
